Well, if it's any consolation, I have absolutely no memory at all of that, and since my account was deleted, there's no way I can go back and remember
it. ;-)

I don't think you were ever a douche. You were always awesome.
EDT: And if you think you were a douche, imagine how I must feel. I used to use the phrase 'lol' in my posts. That's much worse than anything you
could ever have done, ever.

I never used to use lol as a teenager because I thought it was lame... and now I say it in everyday conversations. I think I grow backwards.

I go in and out. Much like accents, my writing style pretty much mirrors whoever I am hanging around online with.

When it comes to net speak, it really depends on the medium on which I am typing, how serious I want to act, and really those I am replying to.
IRL... I just gotta watch from switching to the AJ accent from time to time. :/ Bad enough I'll randomly type it.

It's not normal for me. Part of it is because I sometimes type in accent here, either as a joke or complete accident. And while I am typing, I think
out the words as I would be saying them. So, when I type in accent, I hear it in my mind being spoken that way, which causes me to sometimes speak
that way.
I tend to get a bit of a different accent depending on which one is heard by me a lot. I'm not consistent too much.

I type a lot better than I speak. Its so much easier for me to convey things through written word, rather than trying to say them out loud. When I
talk, I tend to trip over words and get flustered.
Its not so bad now, but when I was younger I had a bit of a Southern accent that came out when I got really excited. I actually got laughed at by some
classmates once for using the word "y'all".
I also have a habit of talking really really fast when I'm excited. And sometimes I insert the words "like" and "right" into conversations at random.
So, like, I went down to the store, right? And I, like, ran into this guy that I used to live next door to. And he was all like 'Hey, hows it
going?' and I was like 'Okay I guess.' Then he, like, asked me for my phone number.
^
I talk like that.

Hey, so do I I think 'like' is a totally appropriate word to use in speech!
It means you are reenacting what happened "I was like" (words/tone/gestures).
And asking 'Right?' just means you are checking the listeners comprehension, which is a nice thing to do!
You shouldn't speak like people write, really. Different mediums.
